Data Safety
Last updated: June 15, 2026
Data safety is a primary value at Kyte. This page summarises how we handle the information entrusted to us and the controls schools and parents can rely on.
How Sensitive Data Is Stored
Identity details submitted for verification, such as identification numbers, are encrypted before they are written to storage, and passwords are kept only as one-way hashes. Traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit.
Explicit Consent
A parent is linked to a pupil only after an authorised school administrator approves the request from the school dashboard. No student information is shared with any party without that approval.
Zero Tracking
We do not sell data and we do not run ads. Kyte is an archival infrastructure, not an advertising business. We collect only what is needed to operate the service.
Access & Permissions
Access is role-based and logged. Schools control who can view and edit records, and every sensitive action leaves an audit trail.
Data Retention & Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time through our account deletion page. Some records may be retained where required to meet legal obligations, after which they are securely removed.
