Data Safety
Last updated: June 15, 2026
Data safety is a primary value at Kyte. This page summarises how we handle the information entrusted to us and the controls schools and parents can rely on.
Encryption at Rest
All student identities are scrambled and stored in isolated archival nodes. Sensitive fields are encrypted so that, even at the storage layer, records are not readable without authorised access.
Explicit Consent
Data transfers only occur when a school administrator verifies the request, typically through multi-factor authentication. No student information is shared with any party without explicit school approval.
Zero Tracking
We do not sell data and we do not run ads. Kyte is an archival infrastructure, not an advertising business. We collect only what is needed to operate the service.
Access & Permissions
Access is role-based and logged. Schools control who can view and edit records, and every sensitive action leaves an audit trail.
Data Retention & Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time through our account deletion page. Some records may be retained where required to meet legal obligations, after which they are securely removed.
